LIVING IN BALANCE Workshop Series:

The LIVING IN BALANCE workshop series is offered throughout the year, exploring themes each month which are focused on more deeply in these immersions.


You will learn how to sustain a happy healthy life from one with a lifetime of experience.

LIVING IN BALANCE sessions include: traditional hatha, kundalini, Tibetan and restorative yoga, beach yoga and thalassic rejuvenation, meditation, thai massage, journaling, aromatherapy, nutritional counseling, healthy snacks and tea.

SUSTAINING TOP PERFORMANCE IN THE MARTIAL ARTS Workshop Series

Topics Include: preventing injury, rehabilitating injury and restorative exercises, increasing lung capacity and stamina, specific focus on isosoads, hip flexors, rotator cuffs, shoulders, neck and back. Learn to consistently bring your nervous system into balance, boost your immune system and detoxify.

Sessions include: stretching, basic alignment, core strength, thai massage, meditation and the sports bar and anti-oxidant buffet

KUNDALINI Workshop Series

Each workshop we will explore the many different facets of Kundalini Yoga.

MUAY THAI Workshop Series

Muay Thai, commonly referred to as kickboxing, is a martial art from Thailand. It complements Tae Kwon Do, focusing on low leg kicks, knee strikes, elbow strikes, work from the clinch and takedowns (offense & defense).

Workshop instructor, Grant Pierce is a Muay Thai instructor under Prida “Kak” Koonala, and has over a decade of Muay Thai training, competition and teaching experience. He is also a 2nd Degree Tae Kwon Do Black Belt.

Muay Thai is one of the more popular stand up styles preferred by modern day MMA practitioners.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • Basic and Advanced Thai Pad Drills
  • Partner Drills to Develop Timing, Distance, Attack and Defense Skills
  • Muay Thai Clinching and Throwing Techniques
  • Functional Leg Kicking, Knee and Elbow Techniques
  • Conditioning Drills & Sparring (optional)

GROUNDWORK & TAKEDOWNS Workshop Series

Grappling, groundwork and takedowns are an important component of any complete self-defense system and these methods complement our stand-up style of traditional Tae Kwon Do.

Workshop instructor, Bruce Hughes is a seasoned martial artist whose credentials include: Westminster HS Wrestling CIF Finalist, Antelope Valley Judo Club Brown Belt, Machado Brother's Blue Belt, Fabiano Iha Purple Belt, Okinawa-te Brown Belt & American Kick Boxing.
