JIUJITSU FOR TEENS & ADULTS
Many of today's martial art schools are an extreme. It's easy to find either a local gym teaching people to be "killing machines" or a "buy-a-belt" watered-down version of a traditional martial arts academy. We are neither.
Our Jiu Jitsu classes are conducted in a respectful setting, emphasizing self-improvement through discipline, focus and a strong work ethic. We provide a family-like environment that is encouraging and supportive of everyone being at their best.
Training can be intense and challenging, however beginners are comfortably offered the opportunity to start slow and grow into a full pace. Great for men and women of all ages!
Class content varies from week to week in order to keep training fresh and interesting. There's a lot of material to cover so to make learning efficient, content is sequenced and organized.
Everyone can train. Our team includes high school students, working professionals, competitive BJJ and MMA athletes, the serious devotee and the hobbyist. Training is for everyone!
Our curriculum includes functional self-defense and sport styles.
Trial classes are free, preferably by appointment. Contact us for more info.
Mondays = No Gi
Mondays are typically taught by Jason Bukich. "No Gi" indicates we practice without a traditional martial arts uniform so we train in athletic gear like board shorts and rash guards. Please ask if you have any questions about appropriate attire. It's important to practice both Gi and No Gi in order to develop completely and be prepared for all scenarios related to sport and self-defense.
Wednesdays & Fridays = Gi
Wednesdays are typically taught by Jason Bukich. Every other Friday (alternating with kickboxing) is taught by Moku Kahawai. "Gi" indicates we practice with a traditional martial arts uniform. Loaner uniforms are available for first-timers. It's important to practice both Gi and No Gi in order to develop completely and be prepared for all scenarios related to sport and self-defense.
Sundays = Open Mat
The academy is open for members and visitors to train on their own: drilling and rolling. Visitors must be sure to follow all academy rules and should Contact us before an initial visit.
