TAE KWON DO

Tae Kwon Do is a traditional and practical martial art that originated in Korea and translates literally as, way of the foot and fist. Put simply it is a system of kicks and punches but Tae Kwon Do also holds a much deeper meaning beyond that of its literal translation; it implies discipline, control and connection (or harmony) of the body, mind and spirit. Tae Kwon Do is a traditional martial art, a practical method of self defense and an Olympic sport.

Muay Thai

Muay Thai, which translates to “Thai Boxing”, is the national sport of Thailand. It’s a martial art with roots dating back to around the 13th century (Sukhothai Kingdom). Muay Thai is known as the “art of eight limbs” as it makes use of eight points of contact, punches, elbows, knees and kicks. Muay Thai is a traditional martial art, a practical method of self defense and offers many competitive opportunities, up to the professional level.

KICKBOXING

Kickboxing is a system of kicks, punches, elbow and knee strikes. There is work from the clinch as well as a system of sweeps. Our kickboxing curriculum blends Muay Thai, Western Boxing, MMA striking and some of the traditional arts.
